Kobe Bryant Retires

Kobe Bryant was born Kobe Bean Bryant on August 23, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kobe was born with legend in his blood, because his dad was Joe “Jellybean” Bryant who was a former NBA star who played for the 76ers, Clippers and Rockets. Joe played basketball in Europe, which made his family move to Italy, this all happened with Kobe was about 6 years old, they were there about seven years. Thats where he learned to speak fluent Italian.

Kobe Bryant Comes To America:

At the age of 13 Kobe and his family moved back to United States he started playing high school basketball in Philadelphia, by this time Kobe was 6’6 and a star on the court. Believe it or not Kobe could beat his dad in a one-on-one game. Senior year of high school Kobe led his basketball team to the Pennsylvania State Championship and there he was named the Naismith Player of the Year.

Time For The NBA:

After graduating high school Kobe thought he didn’t need to go to college to learn anything he thought he knew enough, so he skipped college and got drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the first one of the Draft in 1996. Soon after that the Hornets traded Kobe for Vlade Divac and sent Kobe to the LA Lakers. The first time that Kobe played in the NBA All- Star Game in 1998, by 2000 Kobe became on elf the best basketball players. While playing with the LA Lakers he became teammates with Shaquille O’Neal and together they won’t he NBA Championship Titles from 2000- 2002.

Kobe Bryant’s Darkest Moment:

It happens a lot where all star players get accused of things they didn’t do, this happened to Kobe in 2003 where Kobe was arrested and charged with sexual assault shortly after the accusation came upon they were dropped. Just because the chargers were dropped doesn’t mean that it didn’t have any effect on his career, because it did.
