Before Kimbo Slice he was Kevin Ferguson. Kevin Ferguson was born on February 8th, 1974 in the Nassau, Bahamas. He lived with a single mother (Rosemary Clarke) and two brothers. Slice spent his early years in Cutler Ridge, Florida. At Miami Palmetto High School, Slice starred at middle linebacker. After being a linebacker he was given an athletic scholarship to University of Miami. Slice left college after a year and half.After college, Slice (then Ferguson) worked as a bouncer for a strip club before taking up with RK Netmedia, a Miami based pornography production and promotion organization as a bodyguard.
In 2003, Ferguson fought for the first time on tape. In fact, his only recorded internet fighting loss came against Sean Gannon, a former Boston police officer. Slice trains out of Team Kimbo in Miami, Florida. He currently fights for Bellator MMA. Slice is a fighter that likes to stand up and brawl with his opponents, much like he used to on the internet. Kimbo Slice Dead At 42
MMA fighter Kimbo Slice died on Monday at the young age of 42-years-old. Slice was admitted to Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida on Friday. Slice complained of “severe abdominal pain, shortness of breath and nauseation. Kimbo was being prepared to be transferred to a facility in Cleveland, where he could be placed on an organ donor list. However, Kevin Ferguson died at 7:30 p.m. on Monday before he could be transported.
